Soft spot for the one who got away

Was there ever someone who you yearned for but never got the chance to be with and so you've always been left questioning, 'What if?'

Don't think you're alone.

There are many others out who have gone through the same thing as you or are going through it right now.

The one guy or girl who you've been interested in for years but just never got anywhere and will always have a lasting impression on you.

Sometimes I think that for some people because they had such an effect on you, you will always have a bit of a soft spot for them.

Say if they asked for help on something, you'd usually be subconsciously inclined to go ahead and give them a hand. Or if they weren't happy about something and spoke to you about it, you'd try and talk them through it or cheer them up.

Then again, you could do that just because you're a good person and a great friend.
