Earth Hour 2009

To make up for misisng Earth Hour for the past few years (and for having the dishwasher going throughout Earth Hour), we spent over an hr with the lights out this year. 

As soon as 8:30 hit we switched off all the lights that we could, lit a few candles and settled down to watch Mel Gibson's 'What Women Want'.

The movie was released in 2000 so it was quite nostalgic to watch what life used to be like before technology hit like a tornado. There were teenagers had to call from payphones and not mobiles, minimal talk and use of the internet, late 90s hairstyles and fashion, all to the sound of Christina Aguleria's 'What A Girl Wants'. 

What a fun night. Especially because we got to use candles!
